Jaroslav Sv?cen�

Jaroslav Sveceny is one of the best contemporary Czech violinists and a prominent personality on the Czech musical scene. He started his soloist career as early as during his studies at the Prague Academy of Music and Academy of Performing Arts where he was tutored by Professor Frantisek Pospisil and Professor Vaclav Snitil. Jaroslav Sveceny crowned his education with mastership courses received from renowned world virtuosos Nathan Milstein and Gidon Kremer.

Jaroslav Sveceny is a famous popularizer of violin play. His TV, radio and concert projects, above all, attract the audience of all age categories.

Jaroslav Sveceny's numerous concert tours and festival performances covered the USA, Canada, entire Europe, Brazil, Cuba, Turkey, Israel, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, India, etc.

So far, Jaroslav Sveceny recorded 40 CD's with works by both world and Czech authors. As the first Czech violinist, Jaroslav Sveceny recorded a CD for SONY CLASSICAL. He was awarded in 1996 the prestigious Masaryk's Academy of Arts' award for creative artistic activity.

Jaroslav Sveceny is also widely regarded as an expert in the history and construction of violins. His concert project globally called "VIOLINO" portrays masterpiece violins made by important violinmakers of the 17th through 20th centuries.
